C / Alfonso XII, 33, acc, 41001 Sevilla

The Alfonso XII is my favourite insider tip in Seville. The restaurant is away from the tourist mile and was packed with locals. We have been here twice during the weekend. In this restaurant you feel like coming home and the staff was funny and friendly. The waiter was hardly speaking English but together with my little Spanish skills we managed it. This is how I like it. The interior is simple and rustic. We were eating tapas. I prefer the lomo (grilled pork), manchego cheese, gambas ajillo with a lot of garlic. They also serve paella as a tapa (small portion). It was tasting delicious. I was only missing some more salt. On a Sunday afternoon the

restaurant was closing at 17:00. We did not even realize this. Finally we have determined we are the only guests in the restaurant and the staff already locked the doors. No one was pushing us and they were waiting for us to be finished. Here you really feel like a king. The prices are very reasonable.

Men's Toilet:

After all these nice words about the food and the restaurant, I can't share the same for the toilet. It was rather frustrating. At least there was toilet paper and soap available.
